Here are four more Gutter cleaning gadgets, that I found around the world wide web.
EZ Smart Gutter Cleaner
The EZ Smart gutter cleaner is basically a small lightweight leafblower mounted on an extention pole. It is sold by easysmart tools and costs $179.00 for the kit. (Shipping is extra) Also included in the kit is a mirror and rake attachment. In the promotional video, the EZ Smart appears to work really well blowing out a dirty gutter. This gutter tool may blow out some of the lighter material in a gutter, but I find it hard to believe it could blow out some of the heavier debris that I come across every day. I use a leafblower with 155 MPH of air force and with this much power, I still have problems blowing out some of the more substantial stuff. I just don't believe this dainty little tool could really handle a gutter packed full of leaves. If you own an EZ Smart tool, send me a comment and tell me how well it works.
Gutter Sweep Rotary Gutter Cleaning Tool
What do you get when you leave a guy in a full tool shed with a six pack? You get a frankenstien tool like The VertaLok Gutter Sweep Rotary Tool. This is a combination of a drill, an extention pole and a spinning flapper similar to the one on the Loog Robot. The VertaLok is a kit that comes with other attachments besides the one shown above. It is put out by a company called Gardus Inc and it sells for $79.95. I have found plenty of photos but I can't find any videos of this tool being demonstrated. It looks like it would throw debris down onto the person opperating it below. I can only guess how well this contraption works but it does seem to have its fans in the Amazon review section.
Gutter Cleaning Cat!
Sure this is not a real gutter cleaning tool but I couldn't resist putting this picture up. Imagine how easy life would be if we could train cats to do chores like cleaning out our gutters. He could lay in the gutter and just slowly push forward, cleaning the gutter as he goes along. His whiskers could clean the sides!
Airaleave Downspout Cleaner
Finally a tool for unclogging downspouts and sold on QVC! Basically you need to attach one end of this device to the bottom of the clogged downspout and attach the other end to your leaf blower. When you power your blower, the burst of air goes up the downspout and blows out the clog. I have never used this contraption but I am sure it works because I have done this procedure many times. The blower tube end on my leaf blower fits perfectly into the bottom of a downspout. I have blasted out many a downspout this way.
My big beef with this product is that it is advertised as useful for cleaning out gutters as well! How on earth will this plastic blower sleeve clean out gutters? An obvious piece of false advertising. I'd be more apt to believe a cat could do the job before I'd believe the Airaleave could.
